Our Story

Four Generations, One Kitchen, Countless Sweet Memories

Early Beginnings

It all started in 1962 when Lenzo and Martha Malone opened the doors to Milton Quality Bakery on Stewart Street. With a love for scratch-made recipes and a deep connection to the Milton community, they built more than just a bakery, they created a gathering place where neighbors felt like family.

A Fresh Start

A few years later, their future son-in-law, Kenneth “Mitch” Michener, returned from the Navy and joined the bakery as part of a promise made to Lenzo. After marrying Frances that same year, Mitch helped open the new Caroline Street location in 1965, bringing fresh energy and steady hands to guide the bakery into its next chapter.

Working Together

As Milton grew, so did the bakery. In the ’80s and ’90s, Mitch’s son Eric stepped in to help lead day-to-day operations, keeping the ovens warm and the traditions alive. With the same care and consistency his parents had modeled, he continued serving generations of loyal customers and shaping the bakery’s future.
